THE EDIT is a trading name of DESIGNCF. This page explains, in plain language, what is tracked when you receive an email from us or visit this website, and how to stop it.
Who this is
DESIGNCF (trading as THE EDIT) is responsible for the data described here. For any question or request, email charles@theeditla.store.
What we track
- Email opens. Our emails contain a small, invisible image. When it loads, we record that the email was opened. This is common practice and does not always work reliably (some mail apps block it), so it is treated as a rough signal, not a precise one.
- Link clicks. Links in our emails route through a short redirect on our own domain before reaching their destination, so we know which link was clicked and when.
- Website analytics. This site uses Google Analytics to record visits and which buttons are used (booking, WhatsApp, phone, map). We do not knowingly collect names, addresses, or payment details through analytics.
Why
To understand whether this campaign is useful to the designers who receive it, and to avoid sending further emails to people who have already responded or asked to stop.
How long we keep it
Contact and engagement data is kept until you unsubscribe, or for 24 months of inactivity, whichever comes first.
Your choices
Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email charles@theeditla.store at any time to be removed or to ask what data we hold about you.
Who we share it with
We use standard service providers to send email and host this site (currently Google and Netlify). We do not sell contact data to third parties.
